Supportive Housing
TXRS partners with Workforce Solutions of Tarrant County to provide rental assistance. TXRS also partners with HUD to provide temporary housing for up to 2 years. A partnership with Fort Worth Housing Authority enables TXRS to provide permanent housing for limited number of ex-offenders who are homeless and have a disability (e.g. substance abuse/addiction, mental illness or a combination of the two). Our partnership with the City of Fort Worth and United Way through the Directions Home Program provides supportive permanent housing to 20 households headed by ex-offenders who were residing in the homeless population.
