Board Members
The Board of Directors is committed to providing previously incarcerated individuals resources for job leads, clothing, transportation, and medical needs, while establishing a safer community.
Our board members include leaders of our community who have in some way been affected by previously incarcerated individuals and want to make a difference in our society.
Kay Smith - Founder and CEO - Founded in 1997, as a comprehensive social services program and designed to ease the reintegration of ex-offenders into mainstream society, Founder and Director, Kay Smith, LMSW, uses her own experiences with incarcerated family members and her educational background to oversee the continuing development of Texas ReEntry Services. Kay's studies include an Associates of Arts degree in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Training, a Bachelors degree in Family Science, and a Masters degree in Social Services.
Betsy Church - Chairperson (1 years) - Ms. Church is a senior business executive focused on the needs of the Dallas/Fort Worth healthcare community. In this capacity she is experienced in strategic market positioning, solution selling strategies, sales metrics, data analysis and presentation, business growth and development, recruiting, training and development, budgeting and forecasting, team building and application customization to meet reporting needs. Ms. Church holds a BS from Skidmore College in Psychology and Social Work. She has been active with the DFW Health Industry Council, MS Society, Alzheimer痴 and was a trained hospice volunteer.
